Plant City

The Winter Strawberry Capital and Everybody's Hometown, Plant City is just 12 miles east of Interstate75 and is has four major interchanges off Interstate 4. Named after railroad tycoon Henry Bradley Plant, it is famous for it's annual Florida Strawberry Festival and it's refreshingly rural community.

Plant City comfortably blends the past and present in her quiet neighborhoods, historic dwellings and new master planned communities. Picturesque turn of the century architecture contrasts with golf courses, villas and new single family homes.

Home to Walden Lakes Polo Club, a recognized polo center, residents and visitors have a chance to enjoy the "sport of kings". The national Paso Fino Horse Association is also headquartered here and these fine horses are featured annually at the Florida Champion Horse Show held at the polo club.

With an agricultural base, this city has a small town atmosphere and respect for it's history with many restored historical homes, the original 1914 Plant City High School, a historical downtown district and historical Plant City Train depot.

With an active arts council, art, theatre and history are alive and thriving here. And along with 12 city parks, tennis, golf and fishing - there is something for everyone in Plant City!

Home prices range from the $60,000 range to the $300,000 range. For more info on housing in Plant City contact Karen Brosseau, Realtor with Signature Realty Associates at karenb@tamparelocationinfo.com .
