There are also small groups of mid-to-upper-average resorts just before the path hits the entry to Kata Beach. The football stadium which hosts both local and international matches is also located in this route. The northern end is clustered with budget guesthouses, hotels and resorts roundabout of Patak Road. The central part of Karon lies the remaining past of sculptures of workers commemorating Phuketò€™s tin-mining and agricultural era. Most of the entertainment and restaurant options are on Patak and Luang Pho Chuan Road. Many of Karonò€™s restaurants are reasonably priced. Local eats, clothing, and random oddities can be bought for cheap after friendly negotiations. Nightlife at Karon is laid back and friendly. The environment is of a typical low-key compared to Patong, the scene is centered around Karon Circle and Luang Pho Chuan Road.

Karon beach is good for swimming especially in clear water and not too crowded. Excursion into deeper water can be handled with one of the local dive operators. Battle the current of water or ride in harmony with them on surfboard. Regardless of how you choose to play, donò€™t forget to check the flags. The south end of the beach offers opportunity to check out sea life among the rock and coral. While offshore, run along the beach or ride in a rental bicycle for exploring road and jungle, or head to the top of the hill and wait for a scenic beautiful sunset.

Off the shore, you can lose yourself into the famous Thai-massage. Of course you can choose from a simple massage shops to luxurious spas. Upscale spas, although pricy, would give one of the memorable hours that wouldnò€™t soon be forgotten. The peaceful surroundings, sound of the ocean and the letting control up on the masseuseò€™s work. Traditional Thai and oil massages are filled along street-sides so the choices vary. Some of the shops also expand their services and they would be willingly to do your nails, even hair extensions.
