Apollo Beach

Apollo beach is located off U.S. 41, approximately 12 miles south of Tampa. Located right on Tampa Bay, Apollo Beach is primarily a waterfront community. Most of the homes sit directly on canals or inlets. Tourism and seasonal visitors make up a large part of the Apollo Beach commerce.

The population of Apollo Beach is approximately 6,025 people and the town spans an area of approximately 4,000 acres. The community is known for its leisure activities such as fishing and boating. Recreation in the area includes golfing at the Apollo Beach Golf and Sea Club, and racquet ball and fitness at the Apollo Beach Racquet and Swim Club.

Neighboring Apollo Beach is the town of Ruskin. Settled in the late 1800's and early 1900's, Ruskin is primarily a farming town known for it's "Ruskin Tomatoes". Tropical fish farms and phosphate mining are other major industries here.
